IDPA
FIRST SATURDAY
On the first Saturday of the month we have our International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) match. Registration opens at 9:00 am and shooting begins at 9:30 to 10 am. The cost is $20 per person for non-range members, $15 per person for range members. For more information go to idpa.com
IDPA matches consist of 6 stages which are set up to represent situations where it is necessary to shoot defensively. Competitors must wear a jacket or some garment so that their pistol and extra magazines are not visible while standing with arms relaxed at their side. Each stage can consist of one to a maximum of eighteen rounds fired.
FUN STEEL
FUN STEEL
2ND SATURDAY
The second Saturday of the month is our Fun Steel Match. Six stages of 5 steel targets where the competitor shoots 5 strings.
The worst of the 5 strings is dropped and not used in your scoring.
Firearms may be .22 LR caliber or any pistol caliber. No .22 magnum or magnum cartridges are allowed. Rifle calibers are not allowed. Holsters are required for any caliber larger than .22. The cost is $20 for non-range members, $15 for members. If you would like to shoot an additional gun, it is $5 for the second firearm. Many competitors shoot a rifle and a pistol in this competition.
Bring a minimum of 150 rounds per firearm you choose to shoot.
TWO GUN
5TH SATURDAY
On any month that has a fifth Saturday, we have our 2-gun (Tactical Carbine Rifle and Pistol) match. Registration opens at 9 am and shooting begins about 9:30 am. The match consists of 5 stages. The cost is $20 for non-range members, $15 for members. This match is ideal for .223 rifles but higher calibers and pistol caliber carbines are fine as well.
Bring 100 rounds for each gun to be sure you'll have enough ammunition.
